April 2001 |
The very beginning of today's product range history goes back to the Year 1978, when Häni-Prolectron AG took over the Railway Electronic activities of Flako AG with the whole product portfolio.
The same year the founder of RailTronic AG, Ulrich Plathner, started to work for HPW and was in charge of run this new department.
The following years were full of challenges. With high quality products and a very close market focus a lot of new customers in Switzerland and abroad could be won. By the time the "HPW Railway Electronic" department became a profit center with an own development department. Due to a very good market approach the sales went up and "Railway Electronic" delivered very respectable contributions to the profit of HPW.
In 1998 the first thoughts came up about a new orientation of "Railway Electronic".
Two years later the decision was made for a Management by Out and in April 2001 the new company RailTronic AG was founded.
It followed the move from Bronschhofen to Sirnach (the new location of the company).
First of May, 2001 RailTronic AG got in business with almost the same staff.
Order stock and assets could be taken into RailTronic in exchange of being responsible for the guaranty service for the supplied units under the name HPW.
